Getting Started

MyDeckStats is built to help you record real results quickly, then turn them into useful deck, matchup, and sideboard decisions.

Build Your Deck Library

Create decks with a fast button-based flow for format and archetype, then paste your decklist and save.

Track Real Matches

Use quick score presets, game-by-game results, play/draw tracking, mulligans, and post-side changes.

Study Matchups

Every deck page includes matchup tables, records, OTP and OTD win rates, and post-side insights when data is available.

Save Sideboard Plans

Create your own Sideboard Sheet for each matchup and compare it with the observed data collected from your matches.

Managing Your Decks

Creating a New Deck
  1. Open My Decks from your dashboard.
  2. Click Add Deck.
  3. Choose the Format with buttons.
  4. Choose the Archetype with buttons filtered for that format.
  5. Enter the Deck Name and select the mana colors.
  6. Paste your Decklist. The list is normalized automatically when you save, so you do not need to press a formatting button.
  7. Save the deck.
Deck Limits: The number of active decks you can keep depends on your account settings. The dashboard shows your current usage.
What Changed in the Deck Flow
  • Cleaner UI: Format and archetype use buttons instead of heavy dropdowns.
  • Automatic Decklist Cleanup: Common pasted lists are cleaned on save.
  • No Deck Guide Field: Description and deck guide content are deprecated in the deck flow.
  • No Deck Link Field: External deck links are no longer part of the normal player flow.
Deck Details and Matchup Study
  • Matchup Tables: View records against tracked opponent decks and archetypes.
  • OTP / OTD Win Rates: Separate performance when you start on the play or on the draw.
  • Post-side Insights: Open the detail modal for a matchup to study post-side games only.
  • Recurring Card Study: See which side-in and side-out cards repeat most often and how they performed.
  • Sideboard Plans Table: Review known plans by game number with record and win rate.
Sideboard Sheet

Every deck now includes a dedicated Sideboard Sheet flow.

  • Quick Sideboard View: Open a deck and go to the quick matchup view first.
  • Opponent-First Reading: The quick page shows the opponent deck name as the main focus so it is easy to scan during an event.
  • Editable Matchup Sheets: For each tier deck in the same format, save your preferred side in and side out plan.
  • Observed Data Support: If you have enough real tracked games, the sheet also shows the best observed plan and recurring cards.
  • One-click Prefill: When available, you can use the best observed plan to prefill the sideboard sheet faster.

Tracking Tournaments

Creating a Tournament
  1. Go to Tournaments and click Add Tournament.
  2. Use the cleaner quick-entry layout to fill the core info first.
  3. Format and Deck now use buttons instead of classic dropdowns.
  4. Deck buttons appear only after choosing a format, so the list stays filtered and faster to use.
  5. Open Details only when you need secondary information.
Adding Tournament Matches

Tournament matches now support a much faster entry flow.

  • Quick Score Presets: Use one click for common outcomes like 2-0 Win, 2-1 Win, 1-2 Loss, 0-2 Loss, 1-1 Draw, and Bye.
  • Compact Result Entry: Match result and score are grouped to reduce clicks.
  • Opponent Data: Track both opponent deck and opponent name, but the opponent name is no longer auto-filled for you.
  • Play / Draw Buttons: Record whether you started on the play or on the draw using buttons instead of a select.
  • Mulligans: Store mulligan counts by game inside the details area.
Per-game Tracking
  • Game Results: Record each game as Win, Loss, or Draw using buttons.
  • Post-side Tracking: Starting from Game 2, save both Side In and Side Out with quantity and card name.
  • Copy Game 2 Forward: If your plan does not change after Game 2, copy that plan to the later games in one click.
  • Details by Default: The advanced area is collapsed on create and opens automatically in edit when detailed data already exists.
Tip: The more complete your game-by-game data is, the more accurate your post-side insights and sideboard statistics will be later.

Tracking One Shots

One shots are ideal for quick league matches, local testing sets, or stand-alone rounds outside a tournament structure.

One Shot Entry Flow
  • Format and Used Deck Buttons: Choose the format first, then see only the decks that belong to that format.
  • Platform Buttons: Use Online and Paper buttons instead of a dropdown.
  • Quick Score Presets: Same fast result entry as tournament matches.
  • Cleaner Main Area: Play / Draw and mulligans live in the details section so the top of the form stays light.
  • No Opponent Name Autofill: Opponent deck selection does not overwrite the typed opponent name.
Detailed One Shot Tracking
  • Game Results: Save the result of each game.
  • Side In / Side Out: Track your post-side changes from Game 2 onward.
  • Copy Game 2 Forward: Reuse the same sideboard plan for later games in one click.
  • Play / Draw and Mulligans: Open the details area only when you want to track them.

Understanding Your Statistics

Core Metrics
Metric Description
Total Tournaments Number of tracked events.
Total Matches Total matches from tournaments and one shots.
Match Win Rate How often you win full matches.
Game Win Rate How often you win individual games.
OTP / OTD Win Rate Your performance when starting on the play or on the draw.
Deck Matchup Insights
  • Match Record and Game Record: Both are shown per matchup when enough data exists.
  • Detailed Modal: Each matchup can open a detail view with post-side games only.
  • Known Post-side Games: Counts only the games with a recorded game result.
  • Post-side by Game Number: Compare Game 2, Game 3, and later games separately.
  • Recurring Card Study: Understand which cards come in or out most often and how they performed.
  • Sideboard Plans: Compare tracked plans with known usage, record, and win rate.
Important: Post-side win rate calculations depend on per-game results. If you do not track game results, sideboard insight sections will be more limited.
How Sideboard Data Helps
  • Observed Plans: Real plans from tracked matches can reveal what you actually win with.
  • Repeated Cards: Cards that recur across winning post-side games often become the core of your matchup plan.
  • Sideboard Sheet Comparison: Use the sheet page to compare your prepared plan with the historical data.

Tips and Best Practices

Track the Real Result

Record losses and rough matchups too. Better data creates better insights.

Use Copy Tools

If your post-side plan stays the same after Game 2, copy it forward instead of retyping it.

Track Opponent Decks Carefully

Correct opponent deck selection is what makes matchup and sideboard analysis meaningful.

Maintain the Sideboard Sheet

Update your matchup sheets after testing so your quick event reference stays useful.
